The chairs in this project are altered versions of modernist design classics. All pushed back into the simple archetype form. All of them are now dominated by simple ergonomic dimensions. Same seating height,seating width, seating depth, overall height, and angle of the backrest. Money is a fascinating thing. It is something we, as a society, created. It is a virtual thing, though not having enough of it could be the end of you. And now this whole system is slowly spinning out of control. I incorporated drawings in each of the existing euro bills to show the weak spots in our capitalistic society. This way the message is carried by the same system it criticizes.More images after the jump.

Together with my best friend (and former business partner/enemy)Thalia de Jong, I made this short film based on the poem "Heelal" from Jules Deelder. In English the poem goes a little something like this: "The universe. The further they looked, the bigger it seemed."

This is the start of an image collection which has the working title 'Wish You Were Here'. They show the location you get when you only type in the name of a city on Google Maps. This location is then viewed in Google Streetview to make the actual snapshot. This gives some very interesting visuals. Miami for instance is portrayed by a white car in front of a small, shabby house. Seattle gives you the photograph of the entrance to a parking lot and the Hague makes the little red marker look like a cheap hooker on the streetcorner.More images after the jump!

The Euro as a currency is one that should have stabilized us as a continent. Little did we know that a few years after it's presentation we sunk into a deep economic crisis that makes this coin a heavy load to carry instead of setting us free. Time to change that.More images after the jump!

The sentence "I felt like destroying something" is entirely constructed out of matches. Every match painstakingly cut to size and glued together to form the letters. After completing the typografical piece the last match was used to set fire to the whole thing. Kill your darlings, keeps the mind sharp...

During my internship at the Next Nature Institute the main focus of my work was creating visuals for the Next Nature Book and the Nano Supermarket. Next Nature is a platform that researches our relation to nature and technology and how nature changes along with us.

Together with small group of designers and artists I organized the exhibition 'Multiple Choice' in the Sameheads Galery in Berlin. We presented works that were related to the overload of choices you have to deal with in this modern society. Through organizing a nice opening dinner and party we wanted to get the young generation, that is struggeling with their quarterlife crises, together so we could all overcome this hurdle. I designed the posters and flyers for this event.
